CODE OF CONDUCT

We work closely with our factories and when we enter into new partnerships then all parties are obliged to sign our Code of Conduct. This is based on the guidelines set out by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The agreements provide for a good working environment, without any child labour, discrimination or retribution. It is also committed to guarantee fair wages and a safe working environment.

We also place great demands on the factories taking action to minimise the harmful effects on people’s health and environment. This includes reducing pollution, promoting the effective and sustainable use of ressources such as energy and water and minimising greenhouse gas emissions in its production and transport.

FACTORIES AND SUPPLIERS

Our glasses are produced in Taiwan at a factory with ISO and CE certifications. All the elements of our glasses are produced here apart from the anti-fogging film, photochromatic lenses and packaging. We endeavour to have only a few suppliers in order to obtain the best possible overview of our supply chain.

NORTHUG TEXTILES

NORTHUG Textiles are produced in China and Romania at our partner factories. These are manufacturers who have all undergone our inspections. They are ISO or BSCI certified and is committed to follow our strict ethical guidelines so that you as a consumer to feel confident that the products are manufactured under socially responsible conditions. Many of the technical materials are made of polyester and here we try, where we can, to use recycled materials. With this, we give new life to used plastic bottles and reduce the use of new plastic. We will continuously work to ensure that a larger part of the collection is with recycled or organic materials. Today, we only label those products with our recycled tag that are made with more than 70% recycled materials. All products are safe products in that they are manufactured in accordance with the REACH regulations (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemicals).
